e-Pocketbooks – will they click with you?
You could be reading any one of our 97 pocketbooks within the hour - and save yourself some money in the process! That’s because we’ve just launched our new e-book website where with just a few clicks of the mouse you can view, buy and then download our pocketbooks in PDF format. At £6.96 per e-book you also save over £1 compared with buying the paperback version – and, moreover, you don’t pay postage.
When viewed on a screen pocketbooks look really impressive, particularly the many illustrations. Each e-book you buy can be downloaded to three computers. So, for instance, you can keep copies at work and home and on your laptop for when you are travelling. E-Pocketbooks are suitable for both Windows and Apple Mac users. More information and a link to our e-book website can be found here.
Change for Managing Change’s sake
The advent of the e-book is revolutionising the publishing industry. Management Pocketbooks is no exception. We’ve had to make major changes to both our work flows and our marketing. Managing change, especially in the present economic climate is complex and demanding. Help, though, is at hand in the form of our new edition of the
Managing Change Pocketbook written by Neil Russell-Jones (pictured). “The object of my book”, says Russell-Jones, “is to give you an understanding of the key elements in any change process, the issues, the pitfalls and then how to manage or avoid them.”
‘Make-over’ for popular titles
Managing change is not the only pocketbook to undergo a ‘make-over’ this year. We have also updated and released new editions of Emotional Intelligence, Assertiveness, Time Management and Managing Difficult Participants – all popular titles within the pocketbook ‘family’. Follow the links for further details.
Storytelling coming soon – that’s a fact!
“Have I told you the one about……….” We all enjoy a good story but according to Roger Jones (pictured), author of the forthcoming Storytelling Pocketbook, it is a practice that should be used
more widely in the workplace. “We are 20 times more likely to remember a fact if it is wrapped in a story”, says Jones. “Yet few managers and leaders use storytelling as a strategic tool to communicate their organisations’ values, get their people to embrace change and inspire even higher levels of performance.” Pre-order your copy of the Storytelling Pocketbook here.
